Chantal is a native San Franciscan and was raised in Piedmont and San Francisco. She has a deep appreciation for the decorative arts that was nurtured from a young age though specialized art classes and needlework. This eye for detail was later honed through extensive humanities and art history courses at Convent of the Sacred Heart High School and a summer program in Architecture at Parsons School of Design.
After receiving a BA in Urban Studies and Planning from UC San Diego, Chantal completed the Interior Architecture and Interior Design program at UC Berkeley’s San Francisco campus. Ever the multi-tasker, Chantal’s early career consisted of beginning as a design assistant in a local design firm, while also working every weekend at Urban Chateau - an antique gallery specializing in 17th and 18th century French and Italian antiques. The historical context of the arts as well as an intensive early training has given Chantal a unique approach to her projects as well as honing her collector’s eye in merchandising the retail shop.
Chantal lives in San Francisco with her husband and their two daughters.
Chantal values collaboration with her design team. Their projects include numerous renovations and interior designs of single family homes and high rise residences in San Francisco, as well as homes in the greater bay area, Carmel, Nantucket, and New York.
